Dwayne Johnson, known for his multitude of talents, also possesses a keen eye for extraordinary automobiles. The Rock boasts an impressive collection of luxury vehicles, including a fleet of supercars residing in his garage. However, even someone as iconic as The Rock can make the occasional blunder.
Several years ago, Johnson decided it was time to add a new supercar to his already impressive lineup. Anticipation filled the air as he eagerly awaited the arrival of his latest acquisition. Yet, upon taking delivery of his new ride, he was confronted with an unexpected dilemma.
Much like NBA superstar LeBron James, who happens to own another model from the same automaker, Johnson encountered an unusual predicament – he simply couldn't fit into his newly acquired Ferrari LaFerrari. It's a scenario that might have been avoided had The Rock sought advice from James before splurging on this rare ride.
Hindsight, of course, offers a clear perspective, and Johnson was gracious enough to see the humor in the situation. At the time, 'The Great One' shared a snapshot of his stunning matte white LaFerrari on his Instagram account. He playfully captioned the post, "The great benefit of producing and starring in HBO’s Ballers is that I can admire, touch, and play with this Ferrari LaFerrari, which is one of the most exquisitely engineered and sought-after exotic cars in the world." He then humorously acknowledged the downside, stating, "The drawback…? Daddy don’t fit in it."
As mentioned earlier, LeBron James also encountered a similar conundrum when he acquired a Ferrari F430 Spider six years prior. However, standing at an imposing 6'8", King James took matters into his own hands and had his convertible supercar customized to accommodate his stature.
As for whether Johnson still owns the LaFerrari, that remains a mystery. Nonetheless, if the Italian automaker's flagship model from that era still graces his garage, he possesses a valuable rarity. In 2015, less than 25 matte white examples of this supercar were in existence, and they commanded prices ranging between 3 and 5 million dollars.
In the end, even if The Rock's LaFerrari sits silently in his collection, he can always look back and chuckle at the amusing tale of a larger-than-life celebrity and a supercar that was, quite literally, too small to contain him.
