Whether you engage in Mortal Kombat 1's single-player modes or take your skills online, you'll accumulate XP and boost your level. The additional Kameo fighters become accessible at regular intervals based on their positions on the character select screen – Scorpion unlocks at level 5, Sub-Zero at level 10, and so on.
