A significant new menace is emerging within the world of League of Legends, and it's clear that merely a single drop of blood won't be sufficient to satiate her voracious appetite.

League's latest addition to its roster of champions, Briar, known as the Restrained Hunger, is now available for acquisition in the in-game store. Players can acquire her for 7,800 Blue Essence or 975 Riot Points, and she is ready for action in both regular and ranked gameplay. After a two-week stint in the store, her price will be reduced to 6,300 Blue Essence, a change set to endure indefinitely.

Briar, a jungler with an insatiable desire to confront her foes head-on, epitomizes the concept of “feast or famine.” Lacking innate health regeneration, she relies on frenzied attacks on specific targets to sustain herself, satisfying her relentless hunger.

Despite being bound by a pillory, she has the power to unlock it, unleashing her full potential. This potential is most evident in her ultimate ability, "Certain Death." When she employs this skill, Briar propels the hemolith that once held her pillory together towards a designated direction, hurtling herself at incredible speed towards any enemy champion struck. Those on the receiving end of this ability quickly grasp the full significance of its name.

Briar's debut skin belongs to the Street Demons collection, showcasing various demon-like champions dressed in urban attire, as if they're a rowdy gang bent on causing chaos and reveling in it. This particular skin, along with new Street Demons outfits for champions like Neeko, Dr. Mundo, Zyra, Brand, and Rengar, are now available for purchase at a cost of 1,350 RP each.

Due to the timing of Briar's release, it's unlikely she'll be eligible to play at this year's World Championship, which is slated to commence in just a few weeks. The entire international tournament will be played on Patch 13.19, scheduled for release on September 27, alongside a new skin line celebrating life after death.
