Mastering the Challenge: Solo Strategies for Conquering Mega Gardevoir in Pokemon GO Mega Raids

The initial phase of the September 2023 Pokémon GO events has concluded, making way for a brand-new Mega Raid featuring Mega Gardevoir for trainers to tackle. This mystical creature made its debut in Niantic's mobile game back in February 2023, and it remains a beloved icon in the Pokémon franchise. The initial release of Mega Gardevoir witnessed a significant influx of players, and its reappearance is expected to draw even larger crowds.

Starting from September 16, 2023, at 10 am local time and running until October 6, 2023, at 10 am local time, Pokémon GO trainers will have the opportunity to encounter Mega Gardevoir in Mega Raids. While these raids are likely to attract numerous participants, regional variations in participation may lead some players to struggle to find enough partners for their raids, potentially forcing them into solo attempts. A brave few might even seek the challenge of facing Mega Gardevoir alone.

However, it's crucial to note that soloing this Pokémon GO raid won't be a walk in the park. Nevertheless, with the right opposites and ideal conditions, it's not entirely impossible.

Please keep in mind that the recommendations in this article are based on simulations conducted under optimal conditions, and actual results may vary due to various factors.

How to Solo a Mega Gardevoir Raid in Pokémon GO

In Pokémon GO, Mega Gardevoir is a Fairy- and Psychic-type Pokémon, making it vulnerable to Ghost-, Poison-, and Steel-type attacks. It possesses three resistances: Dragon, Fighting, and Psychic. Hence, attempting to solo this raid using neutral damage attacks is ill-advised.

Mega Gardevoir is characterized by a strong emphasis on Attack, with an offensive stat of 326, and a respectable Defense stat of 229. Fortunately for solo raid challenges, its Stamina stat is relatively low, standing at only 169. This means that despite its formidable 50,532 CP As a Mega Raid boss in Pokémon GO, it has a relatively shallow HP pool.

Mega Gardevoir's Fast Attack options include Confusion, Charge Beam, and Charm, while its Charged Attacks consist of Psychic, Shadow Ball, and Dazzling Gleam.

Considering these factors, the top counters for Mega Gardevoir are Shadow Metagross and Shadow Scizor. Shadow Metagross is an excellent choice if the raid boss primarily uses Psychic or Dazzling Gleam as its Charged Attacks, as it strongly resists both. However, if Mega Gardevoir favors Shadow Ball, Shadow Scizor becomes the preferable option.

To maximize your chances of success, assemble a team of five fully powered-up (level 50) Shadow Metagross, equipped with Bullet Punch and Meteor Mash. Additionally, include a Mega Evolved Pokémon in your lineup for a damage boost and extra candy.

Suitable Mega Evolutions to consider for this task include Mega Aggron, Mega Steelix with Iron Tail and Heavy Slam, or Mega Scizor with Bullet Punch and Iron Head.

Taking advantage of weather boosts can be beneficial, although finding Snow (which boosts Steel-type attacks) may be challenging in many regions.

Lastly, ensure you have an ample supply of 18-24 Max Revives on hand to prevent time wastage from individually reviving and healing your team.

Whenever possible, team up with at least one partner for this Pokémon GO raid to significantly enhance your chances of emerging victorious.
