| Introducing Sony's Deep Earth Collection: A Stunning Array of Colors for the PlayStation 5 Console |
Sony has unveiled an exciting new palette of colors for its PlayStation 5 console, aptly named the Deep Earth Collection. These vibrant hues draw inspiration from the captivating and robust shades found deep within our planet's core.
Within this collection, enthusiasts will find three striking colors: Volcanic Red, Cobalt Blue, and Sterling Silver.
Volcanic Red stands out as a richer and more vibrant shade compared to the previously introduced Cosmic Red. It boasts a metallic finish, lending it a glossy, polished sheen.
Cobalt Blue, on the other hand, represents a deeper, more profound blue when compared to the previously unveiled Starlight Blue. This shade also carries subtle hints of purple, giving it an intriguing depth. Like Volcanic Red, Cobalt Blue boasts a captivating metallic finish.
Lastly, Sterling Silver offers a straightforward, classic shiny silver option with the same captivating metallic finish as its counterparts.
It's important to note that, similar to the previous range of color choices, the Deep Earth Collection will only be available as optional covers and controllers for existing PlayStation 5 owners. This means that consumers won't have the option to purchase a brand-new PS5 console in these distinctive colors.
The optional covers will be priced at $60 each, while the DualSense controllers will retail at $75. Pre-orders for these items will commence on October 4. Gamers can get their hands on the Volcanic Red and Cobalt Blue options starting November 3, 2023, while the Sterling Silver variant will become available on January 26, 2024.
