Epic Games is preparing the next big update for Fortnite and we have some early patch notes for you. Fortnite v25.20 update
is ready for release. If all goes according to plan, Epic Games will release the update on Wednesday, July 26th. This will be the second major update for Chapter 4 - Season 3, so we will bring a lot of new content.
Considering Epic went on summer hiatus in early July, it's no surprise that there isn't much content. That should change soon though, as the next update is expected to be huge.
While there is no confirmation as to what will happen, we do have our predictions of what will appear in the next patch notes.
The next Fortnite update should bring major changes to the game - our prediction
Each major Fortnite update brings new cosmetic items and we expect the next one to follow. Most of these cosmetics are expected to hit the market in late July or early August. While most of the new cosmetic items should be available in the item shop, some of them can be used in promotions and special packs.

Fortnite leaks four new reality updates revealed earlier this season, but Epic Games hasn't released what was claimed. While it's important to be cautious about leaks, we expect at least one of these perks will be available with Wednesday's 25.20 update. These reality upgrades are unique and each serves the following purpose:
PG Accuracy - Reduces weapon recoil by 33% while increasing weapon spread.
Scope - Reduces the weapon's rate of fire by 15% while increasing damage by the same amount. Unfortunately, the weapon was sheathed shortly after the end of the season and was unavailable for several weeks. However, Epic Games will likely unlock it soon, perhaps with the next patch.
Besides the boomerang, Epic Games could also release a weapon that appeared on the cover of the current season. All other weapons seen in Epic's promotional materials, including the bolt-action rifle, are out of service except for the pistol. It looks like a new variant of the flint knock pistol, although no one knows how it will work.
Considering that the Fortnite v25.20 update will be the last update for July 2023, it will bring the Fortnite Crew Pack for August. Epic will likely reveal the pack just days before release, but there's a chance the Doctors will get the reveal sooner. A number of new Fortnite collaborations have also been leaked recently, including Overwatch, Call of Duty, and World of Warcraft. Epic Games will likely save them for later this year, but the good news is that the Fortnite x Futurama collab is coming with Wednesday's update.
Fortnite bug fixes should also follow
Epic Games is tracking Fortnite bugs on its Trello board. This way we know what bugs will be fixed in the future, not when. Here are all the bugs that Epic have marked as fixed in a future game update:
Many outfits look shiny or glittery
Maxx ax pickaxe sound effects are missing
Meow skulls don't have tails (the world)
Please Please Note This is just a first patch note for Fortnite. The next Fortnite update will likely bring even more content, but we'll have to wait until release before we can see all the changes.
