Ferrari has unveiled its latest track-focused supercar, the "Ferrari 499P Modificata." This exclusive vehicle is derived from the Le Mans-winning 499P prototype racer, marking Ferrari's triumphant return to top-flight endurance racing after a 50-year hiatus. Priced at £4.6 million, this masterpiece is reserved for "gentleman drivers" who seek an uncompromising racing experience.

The 499P Modificata is designed for a select clientele, offering a two-year ownership experience with access to nine Ferrari-organized racing events annually. Customers also have the option to request specific racetracks for an additional fee, and they benefit from the expertise of Ferrari's F1 maintenance team.

This track car spearheads Ferrari's Sport Prototipi Clienti program, enabling customers to purchase modified versions of Ferrari's race cars. While future Prototipi Clienti offerings remain undisclosed, the 499P Modificata promises exceptional power and performance.

The heart of the 499P Modificata is its mid-rear mounted 3.0-litre hybridized V6 engine, delivering a combined 697bhp. With the push of a button, an additional 80bhp is available for seven seconds, thanks to a Formula 1-inspired 800V electric motor driving the front wheels. This electric motor can recharge during deceleration and braking.

While exact acceleration and top speed figures are undisclosed, Ferrari's racing driver Antonio Fuoco achieved a remarkable 213mph during testing, suggesting the 499P Modificata will perform impressively.

Ferrari has taken great care to make the 499P Modificata accessible to drivers of varying experience levels. The powertrain is meticulously engineered to manage torque, ensuring predictable behavior, even at the car's limits. The electric motor produces 132lb ft, while the V6 adds 525lb ft, resulting in a combined output of around 660lb ft in the Modificata.

Ferrari has designed bespoke Pirelli tires to enhance vehicle dynamics and powertrain delivery management, ensuring optimal performance during extended track sessions. As a non-homologated race car, it's free from Balance of Performance constraints, allowing Ferrari to make it more driver-friendly through aerodynamics.

The 499P Modificata's exterior design, by acclaimed designer Flavio Manzoni, features ducts, channels, and vents to optimize aerodynamics. Its carbonfibre body showcases distinctive elements, including a carbonfibre front splitter, flat bonnet, light bar, and a substantial rear spoiler for added downforce. The exposed wheels and suspension, as well as the extended rear glasshouse air intake, enhance cooling for the V6 engine and battery.

Beneath the striking bodywork, the car's carbonfibre monocoque chassis and F1-inspired push-rod suspension provide outstanding rigidity and predictability in various driving conditions.

The interior of the 499P Modificata is focused on minimizing weight while offering essential features like a digital rear camera, fixed bucket seats, an adjustable pedal rack, and a racing steering wheel.

Experience the pinnacle of track-focused luxury with Ferrari's 499P Modificata, a testament to the brand's enduring commitment to performance, design, and exclusivity.
