While the official release date for Mortal Kombat 1 is set for September 19, devoted fans of the video game franchise can now seize the opportunity to acquire the premium edition ahead of schedule.

Developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Games, Mortal Kombat 1: Premium Edition showcases beloved characters such as Liu Kang, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Kitana, and introduces the voice of Megan Fox as the vampire heroine, Nitara. You can currently obtain the physical copy of this game for Xbox Series

Although this installment is technically the 12th in the series, it represents a significant departure as it serves as the second timeline reboot, directly following the release of Mortal Kombat 11 in 2019. Mortal Kombat 1, in essence, allows Liu Kang to manipulate the entire timeline and reinvent the franchise's past. It's essentially Mortal Kombat 12, bearing a whimsical title as an homage to the series' inception.

The Premium Edition offers not only early access to the game a few days before the official launch but also includes DLC characters like Peacemaker from Suicide Squad, Homelander from The Boys, Omni Man from Invincible, and more. Players will also receive a Kombat Pack featuring six additional playable characters, as well as a Jean-Claude Van Damme skin (a nod to the original choice for the game) for Johnny Cage. Moreover, you'll receive 1,250 in-game Dragon Krystals and various other bonuses.

For those who prefer the standard edition, it is slated for release on September 19 and available for pre-order on Amazon. Mortal Kombat 1 can be enjoyed on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC.
