A traveling salesman arrives early for a big meeting with the mayor of a quaint town in the north of England and takes the time to explore and meet the locals, who are always keen to offer him more jobs. Weird... says the Steam game description.
What follows is a "slapform comedy" that combines side-scrolling action vignettes and top-down exploration.
I've watched the trailer a few times and I really don't care what you do in Thank God You're Here. I'm already intrigued by the characters, the animations, and the voice acting, so I'll do whatever it takes to spend more time in this world. Also, I like the arrangement of Local Hero and Lily The Pink is the only song I like to sing at gatherings.
Thank God You're Here creates Coal Supper, who previously created The Good Time Garden, which Sin described as having an affair with a naked man. Her new creation also carries "ambiguous wall-to-wall slogans"; but the nudity has not yet been confirmed. We'll know when it comes out in 2024.
