Advanced operating system and user interface

Building on decades of technical innovation in macOS, iOS and iPadOS, visionOS was designed from the ground up to meet the demands of low-latency spatial computing. The result is a revolutionary operating system that delivers a powerful spatial experience that leverages the space around you and opens up new possibilities at work and at home.
visionOS features a brand new 3D interface that allows digital content to appear in the user's physical world. It dynamically responds to natural light and casts shadows, helping the wearer understand scale and distance. To enable users to navigate and interact with spatial content, Apple Vision Pro introduces a brand new input system controlled by a person's eyes, hands and voice.Users can browse apps by simply looking at them, selecting with their fingers, swiping with their wrist, or dictating with their voice. The
Apple Vision Pro also features EyeSight, a breakthrough innovation that helps users stay in touch with those around them. When a person approaches someone wearing Vision Pro, the device appears transparent, allowing the user to see them while still seeing the user's eyes. When a user is immersed in an environment or using an application, EyeSight gives others visual cues as to what the user is focusing on.

Innovative design

Apple Vision Pro builds on Apple's innovation and expertise, building powerful products like Macs, iPhones and wearables like the Apple Watch, culminating in the most advanced personal electronic device ever created. Apple has used the most advanced materials to achieve its ambitious goals of performance, mobility and portability. The Apple Vision Pro packs an incredible amount of technology into one compact package. A single piece of three-dimensionally shaped and laminated glass is polished to create an optical surface that serves as a lens for the myriad of cameras and sensors needed to connect the physical world with digital content. The lens transforms into a bespoke aluminum alloy frame that gently hugs the wearer's face, and the modular system allows for a custom fit for a wide range of people. The Light Seal is made from a soft fabric and comes in a variety of shapes and sizes. It flexes to conform to the wearer's face for a precise fit. The elastic straps ensure that the sound stays close to the wearer's ears, and the headband, available in multiple sizes, is 3D woven from one piece for different levels of cushioning, breathability and elasticity.

Unparalleled hardware innovation

Apple Vision Pro is designed to deliver phenomenal computing power in a compact, portable form factor. Vision Pro features a revolutionary ultra-high-resolution display system based on Apple's silicon chip and uses micro-OLED technology to pack 23 million pixels into two post-postage-sized screens, with a wide range of true colors and high dynamics . This technological breakthrough, combined with bespoke catadioptric lenses that deliver incredible sharpness and clarity, makes for a stunning experience. Users with vision correction needs use ZEISS optical inserts to ensure visual fidelity and eye-tracking accuracy. The
's advanced surround sound system is at the heart of the Apple Vision Pro experience. It makes sounds appear as if they come from your surroundings and adapts the sound to the room. Two individually amplified drivers in each audio capsule deliver surround sound tailored to the geometry of the wearer's head and ears. Apple Vision Pro's powerful eye-tracking system not only creates a revolutionary display and advanced audio experience, but also leverages high-speed cameras and an LED ring that projects invisible light patterns into the user's eyes for responsive and intuitive input make possible.
These groundbreaking innovations are based on Apple silicon in a unique dual-chip design. The M2 offers unprecedented performance in standalone mode, while the all-new R1 chip processes input from 12 cameras, five sensors and six microphones to display content right in front of the user's eyes in real time. R1 sends new images to screens in 12 milliseconds, eight times faster than the blink of an eye.Apple Vision Pro is designed for all-day use when plugged in and up to two hours of use with a high-capacity power bank.

Privacy and security

Built on a solid foundation of privacy and security, Apple Vision Pro puts users in control of their data. Optic ID is a new secure authentication system that scans the user's iris under various invisible LED light exposures, then compares it to stored optical ID data protected by the Secure Enclave to instantly unlock the Apple Vision Pro. Your optical ID data is fully encrypted, inaccessible to the app, and never leaves your device, meaning it is not stored on Apple's servers.
Where you look is kept private while browsing Apple Vision Pro and eye-tracking information is not shared with Apple, apps, or third-party websites. In addition, data from the camera and other sensors is processed at the system level, so individual apps do not need to see the user's surroundings to enable the spatial experience. EyeSight also has a visual indicator that clearly lets others know when you're taking a spatial photo or video.
