Fortnite fans are in for a treat as Xbox has accidentally leaked two new skins that are coming to the game as part of the Chapter 5 Season 1 Battle Pass. The skins are none other than Peter Griffin from Family Guy and Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid, two iconic characters from popular media franchises.
The leak was spotted by eagle-eyed players who noticed that the Xbox Store had updated the Fortnite page with a new banner that featured the two skins alongside other characters from the current season, such as Kratos, Master Chief, and the Mandalorian. The banner was quickly removed, but not before screenshots were taken and shared online.
The Peter Griffin skin has been rumored for a while, as data miners had found some files related to a Family Guy crossover in the game’s updates. The files included a back bling with the codename “FrenchFry” that showed a scene from the show where Peter Griffin fights a giant chicken. The skin is expected to be an XL size, similar to Thanos, and have some unique animations and emotes.
The Solid Snake skin is a surprise addition, as there was no previous indication that Fortnite would collaborate with the Metal Gear Solid series. The skin is based on the classic version of the character from the original PlayStation games, and features his trademark bandana, sneaking suit, and cardboard box. The skin might also come with some weapons and gadgets from the series, such as the tranquilizer gun, the C4, and the codec.
Both skins are likely to be part of the Chapter 5 Season 1 Battle Pass, which is set to end on March 15, 2023. The Battle Pass costs 950 V-Bucks and grants access to over 100 rewards, including skins, back blings, pickaxes, gliders, emotes, and more. The skins might also be available separately in the Item Shop for a limited time.
Fortnite is known for its frequent crossovers with various media properties, such as Marvel, Star Wars, DC, Street Fighter, and more.
