Lords of the Fallen has received a substantial update with Patch 1.1.224, offering improvements to enemy aggression and New Game Plus mode. Released on October 23, this update has made several significant changes to the action-RPG, ensuring a more enjoyable gaming experience.

One of the most notable alterations in this update is the adjustment to enemy behavior. The once relentless pursuit by enemies has been reined in, allowing players more freedom to explore without being constantly hounded. After aggroing an enemy, they will now give up the chase sooner, giving you breathing space to navigate the game's world.

In addition to these enemy behavior tweaks, Patch 1.1.224 addresses various bugs, including annoying T-posing models and collision issues that may have affected the gameplay experience. These fixes contribute to an overall smoother and more enjoyable gameplay experience.

Developer Hexworks has also revealed their ongoing commitment to enhancing the game. In a post on Lords of the Fallen's official subreddit, they outlined their plans for another patch scheduled for October 26. This upcoming update aims to decrease the number of challenging enemies in specific areas, although the exact locations were not specified. Players can still expect an increased challenge in New Game Plus, as enemy density and hostility continue to rise with each playthrough. However, during the first playthrough, enemies will appear less frequently, offering a more balanced experience. The October 26 update will also address mob behavior, reducing unexpected enemy encounters.

Notably, this update introduces a significant change to the New Game Plus mode. Players who have completed the game can now choose to reset the entire world or continue in their current one while retaining character, items, and progression. Starting a New Game Plus in the current world will maintain the existing difficulty level, offering a unique gameplay experience. Moreover, Vestiges, the game's equivalent of Dark Souls' bonfires, will no longer disappear during a New Game Plus, facilitating trophy hunting and exploration.

In summary, these patches aim to make Lords of the Fallen incrementally more accessible while maintaining its challenging nature. It remains a demanding Soulslike game, but these updates make it a more approachable experience for both new and experienced players.
