The voice actor behind numerous beloved Bethesda characters, ranging from The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion to Fallout 3, has made a notable return in the latest Bethesda release, Starfield.
As reported by PC Gamer, Wes Johnson reprises his role in Starfield as Ron Hope, the CEO of HopeTech, who tasks players with pursuing a thief in the intriguing "Where Hope Is Built" side mission. You can find detailed guidance on locating this mission and optimizing your gameplay experience in IGN's comprehensive Starfield guide.
Wes Johnson is predominantly recognized within the Bethesda gaming community for his versatile contributions. In Oblivion, he famously portrayed each member of the Imperial Watch, immortalizing the iconic line: “Stop right there, criminal scum.”
His talent extended further to voicing memorable characters like the Prince of Madness Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in Oblivion. In The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind, he lent his voice to three Daedric Princes, namely Boethiah, Malacath, and Molag Bal. Fallout 3 featured his performances as Fawkes and Maister Burke, while in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, he embodied Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II. Fallout 4 introduced us to Moe Cronin, yet another character brought to life by Johnson's voice acting prowess.
Starfield embarked on an impressive journey right from the start, dominating sales charts even prior to its official release. On September 6, the game's launch date, Xbox boss Phil Spencer revealed that over one million players were simultaneously exploring the Starfield universe.
The game has already generated its fair share of peculiar and entertaining stories. Bethesda's decision to eliminate all labradors within the Starfield universe garnered attention, while players embarked on ambitious efforts to recreate the game on the PlayStation platform. Additionally, amusing incidents involving potatoes showcased the game's "mind-blowing" physics.
In IGN's review, which awarded Starfield a 7/10 rating, the game was described as having numerous challenges to overcome. However, the expansive roleplaying quests and commendable combat mechanics ultimately created an irresistible gravitational pull for players, making Starfield an engaging gaming experience.
