PHIL SPENCER TALKS EXCLUSIVELY ABOUT ELDER SCROLLLS 6

Following the highly-anticipated launch of Starfield just last week, which stands as one of the most significant Xbox and PC exclusive releases in recent memory, gamers are already turning their attention to Bethesda Game Studios' next major project - The Elder Scrolls VI. Although it was first unveiled alongside Starfield five years ago, it appears that the game has only recently entered pre-production. This, however, hasn't deterred the gaming community from pondering a crucial question: Will The Elder Scrolls VI make its way to PlayStation?

As of now, the answer remains undetermined, at least in the public eye. In a recent live interview with Bloomberg, Xbox chief Phil Spencer provided a somewhat ambiguous response when asked about exclusivity by reporters Caroline Hyde and Ed Ludlow, even though the discussion primarily revolved around Starfield.

Hyde queried, "I'm sure you want to dwell on the here, the now, Phil, but you've been asked and I'm going to ask it again. You mentioned 'exclusive,' so does that mean The Elder Scrolls VI will be? How do you mark as to whether this is the right track?

Spencer responded, “We look at it on a case-by-case basis with the games that we build. We want to make sure our games are available in so many different places, on our Xbox consoles, on PC, also via Cloud – These games can come to almost any web-enabled device. We're looking at millions and millions of players who have access to Starfield and other Xbox Game Studios games. It's really about giving players a choice around how they wanna play and they build their library of games."

This stance echoes what Spencer mentioned earlier in the year when discussions regarding acquisitions and exclusivity were at their peak due to court proceedings related to Microsoft's $69 billion USD bid to acquire Activision Blizzard. During that time, it was reiterated that The Elder Scrolls VI is still more than five years away from release.
