We engaged in several back-and-forths, but our dream remained unfulfilled."

With a grin, Boon noted, "However, fate smiled upon us this time, and we hit the jackpot. We finally secured Van Damme's involvement, and not only that, we obtained his distinctive voice for the iconic character, Johnny Cage. It's an absolute full-circle moment for us, and it brings a unique blend of humor and nostalgia to the Mortal Kombat universe.”
