Microsoft has introduced a fresh update for its Teams application, offering a host of new features designed to elevate collaborative and communicative experiences for users. Here are the latest four chat and collaboration enhancements in Teams:
Animated Backgrounds
Teams Meetings now boast a dynamic background feature, enabling users to replace their current backdrop with captivating animations, creating a more immersive virtual environment. To access this feature, navigate to the pre-join screen before a meeting, go to Effects and Avatars > Video effects, and choose from a variety of animated backgrounds, denoted by a small video icon in the bottom-left corner of the preview image. .
Chat Message Hover Menu Updates
Engaging in threaded message replies or editing previously sent messages is now more user-friendly with an intuitive hover menu design. The hover menu now includes not only emojis and reactions but also a reply button icon, enabling swift responses to incoming messages. To edit a previously sent message, simply click on the edit icon within the hover menu for sent messages.
Compact Chat Enhancements
Enhancing your daily productivity by efficiently navigating through important information in chat conversations is now easier. You can switch to the compact mode, which tailors the chat pane by adding timestamps, additional line breaks between each message, and indicators showing the sender of each message. This streamlined view optimizes the utility of your discussions.
Task Lists Sync in Microsoft Loop
Microsoft Loop's task synchronization feature simplifies task management by seamlessly tracking critical tasks. Any changes made to a task list component within Outlook or Teams will automatically synchronize across all applications. This ensures that you can effortlessly stay informed and maintain control of your tasks, regardless of the app you're using.
