| When will WoW Dragonflight Patch 10.2 be released? |
Blizzard has unveiled an extensive roadmap for the 2023 World of Warcraft Dragonflight content, providing a glimpse of what's in store for Season Three alongside Patch 10.2.
The forthcoming update promises a trove of exciting features, including a fresh zone, a formidable raid, and the introduction of legendary weapons. As the PTR (Public Test Realm) for this patch kicks off, players can anticipate getting their hands on this new content sooner rather than later.
The official release date for WoW Dragonflight Patch 10.2 has yet to be confirmed by Blizzard. However, the updated roadmap released this week suggests that the content is set to arrive in the fall, which officially launches later this month.
Considering that the PTR for Patch 10.2 began just recently, it's unlikely that the patch will go live until sometime in October. This timeframe allows developers ample opportunity to rigorously test the new Emerald Dream zone and the formidable Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope raid.
While Blizzard hasn't yet disclosed a specific PTR testing schedule for the forthcoming raid, once it does, players will gain a clearer insight into the anticipated release date for the live servers. It's worth noting that Dragonflight made its debut on November 28th last year, and Patch 10.1 followed on May 2nd, approximately six months later. If Blizzard aims to maintain a consistent release schedule, October or November seems like a reasonable estimate for Patch 10.2.
Given that the PTR for Patch 10.2 is already underway, it's unlikely that players will have to wait until November. Blizzard appears to be committed to keeping the content releases more evenly spaced, so an October release could be on the horizon.
