Almost a year has passed since the highly anticipated release of Splatoon 3, and to mark this occasion, Nintendo is gearing up for an exciting and somewhat controversial Splatfest. The question on everyone's mind: Who among the members of Deep Cut would make the best leader?
Commencing at 5:00 p.m. PST / 8:00 p.m. EST on September 8 and running through 5:00 p.m. PST / 8:00 p.m. EST on September 10, players are tasked with choosing the ideal leader from three options: Shiver, Frye, or Big Man. Initial impressions from Twitter suggest a well-matched competition. YouTuber Zack Scott posed the question, "Who else is joining Team Big Man?" and received nearly 40 responses at the time of writing, each passionately advocating for a different Deep Cut member to emerge victorious.
However, there are concerns that this Splatfest may veer toward a popularity contest, with some fearing that the majority will ignore the actual prompt. One Twitter user wisely reminded the community, "Remember, folks, the question isn't about your favorite Deep Cut member; it's about who would genuinely excel as a leader among them." They confessed their preference for Big Man while acknowledging doubts about the leadership abilities of any of the trio. Meanwhile, there are users who openly express their dissatisfaction with all available options, with one bluntly stating, “Worst possible theme they could've chosen.”
In any case, as the anniversary Splatfest unfolds, which side are you backing? Don't forget to cast your vote in-game at the Pledge Box!
