Baldur's Gate 3 Guide: How to use multiple classes |
Multiclassing in Baldur's Gate 3 can be a bit confusing at first, especially since it's only unlocked at level 2. However, once players reach level 2, the multiclassing option is unlocked and easy to set up. Be careful, your class levels up every two levels. So if you decide to upgrade to more classes, you only have to assign half as many levels to each class, giving you more options but less advanced skills.
Once you reach level 2, after the usual splash screen, a multiclass option will appear with the upgrades and options offered by the new level. In the top left corner, next to the "Level Up" text, you will see a small weapon gauge with a crossed out "+" symbol. Scroll down and "Add Class" should appear. Clicking on this option will allow you to start multiclassing.
From here you can choose the second class. Again, be careful as you can only upgrade this class every two levels. This allows you to expand your options, but also somewhat narrows your endgame options. Good luck and have fun with the advanced options!
