With the latest software update for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Nintendo continues its tradition of giving away free in-game items.

Fans of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can get more free items with the latest game software update. These free items continue the tradition of getting something for free during the update; This time the game offers materials for crafting useful weapons in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

The emergence of The Legend of Zelda franchise was traditionally only known with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Thanks to the new block ability and abundance of items, crafting new weapons in the game can seem practically endless. Not all items are easy to come by, however, and that's where the Nintendo Switch newsfeed comes in. Whenever there is a new game software update, the Nintendo Switch News Channel offers free game items. For the first software update, the broadcaster gave away a Hylian Mushroom and a Soldier's Broadsword, while for the second update, players could get two Dazzlefruits.
After Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Update 1.2.0 was released, the Nintendo Switch News Channel is giving away Lizalfos' tail and the Traveler's Sword. Players can integrate the items to create a makeshift whip. Finding a Traveler's Sword that isn't tainted with malevolence usually requires the player to travel deep into Hyrule. To find the Lizalpho's Tail, players typically defeat one of the regular green Lizalfos, which are typically found near water areas. Lizalfos' Tails also have a low drop rate, as players are more likely to only get claws and horns after defeating Lizalfos.
To obtain these free items in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players must click the message icon on the Switch main menu, then scroll down to the Strike the Enemies story. Once the story is open, players must click the Play Now button and then launch their copy of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Players will then receive Lizalfos' Tail and Traveler's Sword for free. Also note that players must have updated 1.2.0 downloaded for the free items to appear.
Lizalfos tails are a little hard to find due to their low rate of descent. If players want to craft more whip-like weapons, Lizalfos Tails can also be purchased from Tears of the Kingdom in the Kara-Kara Bazaar for 72 rupees each.

The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player builds Tarrey's floating residence

A savvy player of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom pushes the house building mechanics to the limit with an air house. Player
One The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom managed to upgrade Link's house in Tarrey Town with a floating floor. The building mechanic in the Breath of the Wild sequel that allows Tears of the Kingdom players to build machines to breed enemies, unicycles that fly through the sky, and all sorts of interesting creations.

While Breath of the Wild only offered soft furnishings, Tears of the Kingdom allows players to build a bespoke home for Link from the ground up. And while the game's house-building mechanics have their limitations, many fans have already managed to build some incredibly creative houses since the game hit stores on May 12th.
The latest example of such sophisticated engineering comes from Reddit user Bagel_entusiast_192, who found a way to build a houseboat by pushing the limits of Tears of the Kingdom's house building mechanics. After some experiments, the player realized that the game strictly limits the height of a given house. However, this restriction will only be enforced after Link has submitted a blueprint to Granteson. Once the game is over, it simply removes any floors that are too high for
, although Granteson will not be an object of submission.
Bagel_entusiast_192 realized he could use it to create a floating floor by building a vertical hook that exceeded the height limit. In this way, the game removes the folded part of the structure, leaving the previously floating floor in the air. Based on a brief gameplay snippet of this design in action, it appears that the maximum allowable bezel height is six 2x1 blocks stacked vertically. Therefore, building a seven-piece hook shape of this type should suffice to replicate this feat of engineering.
Since Tears of the Kingdom limits custom homes to 15 condos, this technique should allow the construction of floating floors with up to six rooms. The disadvantage of this method is that the link house is additionally limited to 12 units, since three of them are still deleted after loading. Bagel_enthusiast_192 also confirmed that the floating floor freezes immediately after re-entering the game's build mode. Also, accessing the aerial portion of the house is quite awkward, as one must use Tears of the Kingdom's Ascend five times from within the suite before the player can access this section.

On the other hand, the same 15-unit limit will force most players looking to build tall houses to design their houses with Ascend in mind. This was already illustrated by another Tears of the Kingdom player, who built an impressive three-story house, the premises of which had many amenities, but only had one staircase that required a connection to the third floor.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom The player manages an impressive Battle Talus Trick Shot

A die-hard Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player gets an incredibly impressive twist on Battle Talus after some trial and error.
After some trial and error, a die-hard The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player with a flair for drama managed to pull off an impressive twist on Battle Talus. Their unorthodox attack was as entertaining as it was effective, not least because the player ended up scoring against this otherwise rather tough Tears of the Kingdom opponent. The contemporary Zelda sport delivered over 1/2 of a dozen new creatures to its predecessor's monster pool, such as the Battle Talus. This enemy is basically a rubble disguised as an enemy camp. Defeating it isn't particularly difficult compared to Tears of the Kingdom's more troublesome enemies, but may take some time due to the creature's high health reserve.
Alternatively, Reddit user BenBuja recently spotted a way for Link to literally knock down a Battle Talus and fire it in a single punch. The trick is that the attack from the sky must start on one of the game's islands. A humorously edited demonstration video of this method, shared online by a player, shows his Link in Tears of the Kingdom Evil Spirit Armor falling to the beat of a particularly dramatic Seal of Seven Sages remix for nearly 15 seconds. : A reference to the clip ends with the unsuspecting Battle Talus immediately giving in as the shot finally hits.
An Impressive Trick also predictably killed Link BenBuj, despite the player being equipped with a fairy that auto-revived their hero. The fan said it took "a few" attempts to hit the Battle Talus, without giving any further details.
In terms of equipment configuration, the player defeated this Realm Battle Tear Talus with Molduga's Hammer, which can be crafted by fusing Molduga's Horn with any sword. While it might seem intuitive to assume that this trick can be performed with almost any weapon, since falling from a height increases the damage of Link's Leap Attack, that's not entirely the case. Similar to Breath of the Wild, Leap Slam in Tears of the Kingdom has a permanent damage modifier and the
level they are launched from only affects their area of effect.

The Legend of Zelda fans loved finding comically complicated ways to defeat their enemies long before Tears of the Kingdom came out. This was recently highlighted by a Breath of the Wild player who removed Master Cycle Zero's stone talus with a clever maneuver.
